Keys locked in car
By Dave Rinnder

A few years ago I left my job for another, better position. However, I did have a soft spot both for the place I was leaving and the colleagues I worked with and the friends I had made over the years. Now it was customary at this place of work that, whoever was leaving, had both a speech made about them and they were expected to make a leaving speech themselves. I knew, of course that this would happen and so prepared a short speech to thank my colleagues and say goodbye. However, the content of my speech soon was added to in as events unfolded. I was loading up my car with the contents of my desk to take to my new position when, unbelievably, I realised I had left my keys locked in the car. Therefore, when making my speech I said that the fact that I had my keys locked in the car suggested that I was undeniably attached to the place. Everybody laughed and eventually the rescue service came and managed to get the keys locked in the car out without any damage to either my car or the keys.
